| The Germantown Volunteer Fire Department was incorporated on October 1, 1989 after splitting from it's "parent department " the Hyattstown Volunteer Fire Department, Company 9. The original building was opened on January 7, 1981, as a sub station to Hyattstown's Station 9. In this picture is Brush 295, Ambulance 299, Engine 292 and Engine 291. The Station had 2 drive thru bays and a bunk room with 10 beds. |

This was the front of the Station and it had the address of 20100 Aircraft Drive. The entrance and watch desk is located behind the Brush Truck. |

This
picture begins to show how the Germantown Volunteer Fire Department has
grown by leaps and bounds. The Department added an additional bay, an
new enlarged commercial kitchen, 10 more bunks, and a separate women's
shower and dressing room with the remodel that started in 1988. |
